The Osun State Police Command’s spokeswoman, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the event and stated that efforts are being made to apprehend the owners of the dogs.
The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a manhunt for the owners of two Alsatian dogs that are suspected of attacking a nursing mother known only as Mummy Basira and killing her infant daughter on Wednesday, August 30 in the Halleluyah Area of Ido-Osun, Osun State.
The canines allegedly burst out of their owner’s building and attacked Mummy Basira as she walked down the street with her infant strapped to her back. As the nursing mother attempted to save her infant, who was reportedly about five months old, the dogs attacked her.

After killing the baby, the savage dogs attacked the mother and injured her, according to locals who watched helplessly as the attack was carried out.
The Osun State Police Command’s spokeswoman, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the event and stated that efforts are being made to apprehend the owners of the dogs. She continued by saying that the police command would see to it that justice was served in this instance.
