The Imole Campaign Council has formally declared its commitment to secure 1.5 million votes in Osun State for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement released on Tuesday by its Director General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, the council confirmed that the political network of the Accord Party across the state will be fully mobilized to guarantee victory for the president at the polls.
Strategic Campaign Appointments
The pledge follows the official inclusion of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on the revised All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council list for 2027. Governor Adeleke was named as the State Coordinator for the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun State.
The updated campaign hierarchy includes several high-profile political figures across various party lines, such as:
- Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike
- Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori
- Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo
Commending the development, Oyewumi noted that the appointment reflects national confidence in Adeleke’s political influence within the state.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one,” Oyewumi stated. “We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced. We promise the President that we will deliver 1.5 million votes to ensure his victory in the coming election.”
Mobilizing Support in Osun State
The campaign council urged Osun residents to continue supporting the governor as he executes his administration’s developmental agenda, emphasizing that alignment with the central administration will serve the state’s broader interests.
According to the organization, supporting President Tinubu directly reinforces Governor Adeleke’s local leadership. Adeleke previously won the Osun governorship contest on the Accord Party platform, polling 511,067 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Oyebamiji, who scored 444,815 votes.
