Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Tems, has officially become a co-owner and partner in the ownership group of Major League Soccer (MLS) team, San Diego FC.
The MLS confirmed the news, revealing that Tems acquired her stake in the club through her company, The Leading Vibe.
San Diego FC chairman, Sir Mohamed Mansour, welcomed the singer’s involvement, stating: “We are excited to have Tems as part of our ownership group. As a globally influential artist, she will help us connect with new audiences and promote our unique project, which is deeply rooted in sub-Saharan Africa through the Right to Dream initiative.”
Expressing her excitement about joining the club, Tems said:
“I am honored to be part of San Diego FC’s ownership group and contribute to a club that values creativity, culture, and community. Football has an incredible ability to unite people, and I’m excited to help build something meaningful in San Diego, a city known for its diversity and innovation.”
