Nigerian musician Tems and her manager Muyiwa Awoniyi had a disagreement with American producer ATL Jacob which went public. Tems, usually known for staying away from controversies, surprised her fans by speaking out. According to her, the producer lied about her not wanting to approve her original song ‘Higher’, which led to their Grammy-winning song ‘Wait for You’.
ATL Jacob also claimed that Tems was contacted to approve the song by Drake, and then at the Grammy Awards, he said that Tems didn’t need to thank him for their win. Tems’ manager confirmed that these were all lies and suggested that those around the producer check his head for signs of being a pathological liar.
ATL Jacob asked for proof of his bad-mouthing Tems, but Tems offered to double the money if he stops lying about her. ATL Jacob produced Tems’ Grammy-winning song which featured American artists Drake and Future.
