WOMAN ARRESTED WITH MULTIPLE VOTERS’ CARD IN OSUN

A woman Alice Gbadebo was  arrested over the weekend at A14, Odoolupo Street, Ibokun, Osun State with multiple voters’ cards, bearing different names.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Maishanu, who confirmed the arrest through the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state police command, Mrs Folashade Odoro said the suspect would soon be arraigned in court .

It was gathered that on interrogation, the suspect could not provide meaningful information on the actual owners of the voters’ cards.

However, the arrest of Mrs. Gbadebo has attracted attention of political parties in the state who raised alarm on the impact of the action of the suspect.

The state Commissioner for Finance and Budget Planning, Dr Wale Bolorunduro who is also the chairman, Aregbesola campaign committee in the area urged the Police to conduct thorough investigations into the matter.

He explained that one Hon Agbaje who resides in Ibokun discovered the multiple voters’ cards in the possession of Mrs. Gbadebo and reported the matter to the police.
