Popular Nigerian skit maker and activist, Mr. Macaroni, has explained why he continues to avoid any interaction with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Macaroni shared his stance while responding to criticism from an X user, @OyesileJohn, who accused him of snubbing the governor.
The user posted: “To d’ifa fun a certain Macaroni who, in an attempt to please the mob, snubbed the governor of Lagos state. Omo ase.”
The comment sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with many people supporting Macaroni for standing firm on his principles.
In response, the skit maker stated in a series of posts that he would continue to ignore Governor Sanwo-Olu, saying:
“I will continue to snub your Governor. He means nothing to me, just like you or your father. I enjoy that you people keep bringing this up because it gives me the chance to remind you of your servitude. Each time you do, I will send you back to your masters.”
Explaining his decision, Macaroni recounted his traumatic experience with the government, stating that he could never associate with an administration that “stripped me naked, beat, tortured, brutalized, and dehumanized me.”
He further revealed that during his time in detention, the police instructed him to “stop disturbing the governor.”
