President Bola Tinubu has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s economic recovery, stating that the bold reforms initiated since his inauguration in May 2023 are beginning to show positive outcomes.
Speaking during a visit to Katsina over the weekend, the President acknowledged the initial hardship caused by his administration’s decisions but emphasized that the country is now on the path to progress.
“Nigeria is a success story in the making. The economy has made a turnaround. It wasn’t easy at the start—honestly, there were times I avoided the news because of how tough things were,” Tinubu admitted.
He continued, “But I stood firm, believing that making timely and tough decisions defines true leadership. We stayed the course, and now we’re beginning to see the benefits.”
Since assuming office, Tinubu has introduced significant policy changes, including the removal of fuel
