Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, is set to take a 17-year-old as bride.
A report monitored by a Naijalog correspondent on This Day online reveals that the teenager is the daughter of Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa.
Sanusi already has three wives, but is now believed to be seeking a fourth wife to fulfill a non-binding Islamic injunction which says Muslims are allowed to marry up to four wives.
