Rita Daniels has reportedly taken a political position that is generating attention, amid claims that she is not supporting her estranged in-law, Ned Nwoko, ahead of the 2027 elections.
The claim was made by Ossai Ovie Success, who alleged that Rita Daniels has thrown her support behind Ifeanyi Okowa for the Delta North senatorial seat.
According to him, the actress attended Okowa’s consultation visit to Aniocha South Local Government Area, where she was seen actively taking part in the event.
“Nollywood actress and producer Rita Daniels, estranged mother-in-law of Senator Ned Nwoko, has publicly endorsed Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s bid for the Delta North Senatorial seat in 2027,” he wrote.
He further claimed that she was seen dancing, singing, and praising Okowa in the presence of party leaders and women groups.
The reported endorsement has attracted attention because Nwoko is also believed to have political ambitions in the same district.
The development comes amid reported tension between Rita Daniels and Ned Nwoko. The relationship was said to have worsened after reports emerged that Regina Daniels, Rita’s daughter, had separated from the senator over alleged domestic issues.
Additional reports also claimed that Nwoko accused Regina of drug use, further fueling the controversy.
The situation was reportedly intensified after one of Rita Daniels’ sons was arrested over alleged cyberbullying.
