Operatives of the State Security Services (SSS) have stormed the Lagos headquarters of the Research & Marketing Services Limited (RMS), a leading Market Research Agency in West and Central Africa, said to be conducting an opinion polls for the Osun State governorship election, reports have said.
The operatives, before sealing up the office harassed and arrested staff, and also confiscated undisclosed documents, laptops, phones and other electronic devices from the company, reports Osun Defender, a news outfit in the state.
“The menacingly-looking operatives refused to grant any interview, simply saying “orders from above,” the news outfit said.
The organisation has already concluded opinion sampling in the 30 LGs in the state, according to Osun Defender, before the SSS swooped on the research company.
