Abuja – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a crucial advisory to candidates participating in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), providing clear instructions on how to effectively track existing complaints without the need to submit new, duplicate tickets.

The examination body emphasized that opening fresh support tickets to inquire about previously submitted issues is unnecessary and can lead to confusion and delays. Instead, JAMB has outlined a straightforward five-step process for candidates to access and monitor the progress of their original complaints.

This guidance comes as part of JAMB’s ongoing efforts to streamline its support services and reduce common issues faced by candidates, particularly those who may be unsure how to follow up on their queries.

How to Check Your Existing JAMB Support Ticket

Candidates can retrieve and view their previously submitted support tickets by following these simple steps:

  1. Begin by visiting JAMB’s official support website at support.jamb.gov.ng.
  2. If accessing the site via a mobile phone, navigate to the main menu and select “Ticket/Support”.
  3. Within the “Ticket/Support” section, choose the option labeled “Access Existing Ticket.”
  4. The platform will then prompt you to enter two key pieces of information: the email address that is linked to your JAMB e-Facility profile and any ticket ID associated with your account.
  5. After accurately filling in both fields, submit the request. Your ticket details will then be displayed. To view the full specifics of your complaint, click on the ticket ID, which will appear in blue.

JAMB recently reinforced these instructions through an explainer video shared on its official X handle, @jamb_hq, as part of its “JAMB Explained” series, aiming to further clarify the process for all UTME candidates.

This initiative is designed to prevent candidates from creating multiple tickets for the same issue, which often clogs the support system and delays resolution. By following these clear steps, candidates can efficiently monitor their complaints and receive timely updates.
