Ibrahim Abubakar, Nigeria Football Federation Protocol Head, was brutally murdered in cold blood by armed robbers in his home at Kado Estate near Gwarinpa in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Wednesday January 6, 2016 .

A traumatized NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi said:
“He was full of life when he left the office yesterday; the Federation has lost a dedicated and assiduous staff. This is so painful.”

‘Ibro’ as he is fondly called, joined the Nigeria Football Federation in 2007. He will be buried later today at his residence in Kaduna according to Islamic rites.

He is survived by a wife and three boys. May his gentle soul rest in peace, Amen.
