On Friday evening, October 27, a 500-level student at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) was sadly shot and died in a horrific incident. Two more students were hurt in the tragic event that happened on the UNIBEN campus. The unlucky series of circumstances that led to the horrific shooting incident on campus are thought to have started with a previous argument that happened in the town of Ekiadolor, which is close to the university. A cult conflict is thought to be connected to the nature of the confrontation and the shootings that followed, according to several internet reports. The attackers in the incident are said to have been associated with cults on college campuses. A terrifying visual account of the tragedy was presented in a video that went viral on multiple social media sites. In the video, a man's lifeless body was seen being taken out of a red automobile with numerous bullet holes in it and placed in the back of a pickup truck for transportation. Students stared in amazement and dismay at the awful scene, drawing a shocked audience. Bloodstains and bullet shells were visible at the shooting location. An abandoned man's cap lay on the ground, adding to the depressing proof of what had transpired. Other students who were hurt in the altercation posted pictures of their injuries on X (formerly known as Twitter) following the assault.
