A 31-year-old fashion designer, identified as Kehinde Shola was on Tuesday arraigned in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos for allegedly defiling a minor.
The accused, who resides at 39, Arowojobe Street in Mafoluku Oshodi area in Lagos is facing a one-count charge of s3xual assault.
The prosecutor, Insp. Simeon Inuoha, told the court that the offence was committed on Nov. 15 at the accused residence. “The accused carried the 3-year-old girl to his room under the pretence of playing with her and defiled her,’’ he added.
The offence contravened Section 135(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs B.O. Osunsanmi in her ruling granted the accused bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case till Feb. 6 for mention.
