The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a change in the registration start date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Originally set to commence on Friday, January 31, the registration will now begin on Monday, February 3.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, explained that the postponement was necessary to allow for crucial adjustments to the registration process. These changes were influenced by the recent suspension of certain law programs at selected universities, as recommended by the Council for Legal Education.
Additionally, JAMB uncovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers had obtained approval through deceptive means. As a result, the Board is conducting further scrutiny and disqualifying such centers to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
Dr. Benjamin acknowledged the inconvenience the rescheduling might cause for candidates and stakeholders, offering JAMB’s sincere apologies for the disruption.
