Nigerian Afropop star Adekunle Gold has shared heartfelt reflections on family life, revealing that his wife, Simi, and their daughter, Adejare, are the most precious parts of his world.
Speaking on the NotJustOk Podcast, the singer described his family as his “centre” and greatest source of motivation, noting that fatherhood has redefined his values and inspired him to work harder.
“My family is my centre. I can afford to be a failed musician, but not a failed father or man. That’s not negotiable,” he said.
The award-winning artist explained that his main goal is to create a better life for his daughter than the one he had growing up. He also revealed that his song “My Love Is The Same” was inspired by his deep love for his family and his determination to always be present for them despite his busy career.
Adekunle Gold added that while fame and success matter, nothing compares to the responsibility of being a devoted husband and father.
