Nigerian Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold has shed light on his close relationship with fellow superstar Davido, praising the singer for his unparalleled loyalty and unwavering support for those within his inner circle.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the One54 Africa Podcast, hosted by Akbar Gbajabiamila and Godfrey Danchimah, Adekunle Gold (affectionately known to fans as AG Baby) described Davido as a true friend whose loyalty extends far beyond the confines of the music industry.
“Davido will ride for anybody he loves,” Adekunle Gold shared, highlighting the DMW boss’s authentic character. “He’s a genuine person who consistently supports people within his circle. And his support goes beyond just music.”

The collaborative chemistry between the two hitmakers solidified following their massive 2021 joint single, “High.” Adekunle Gold recounted how the collaboration came to life, explaining that after writing the track, he knew instinctively that Davido was the perfect fit. Upon reaching out, Davido showed immediate commitment to the project.
Recalling Davido’s selfless response, Adekunle Gold said, “Davido flew to Los Angeles for the video shoot and we had a great time.”
