An unfolding mild drama, has, again, enveloped Asaba community in Delta State, as a 32- year- old housewife, Theresa Okolie, was yesterday sent packing from her matrimonial home by a group of suspected thugs believed to have been hired to do the dirty job by the husband.
Reports said that the victim of the unfortunate circumstance, a resident of Ogbe-Osowe quarters in Asaba, developed the offensive body odour upon her return from a burial ceremony of her late mother-in-law in Benin-City, Edo State.
It would be recalled that sometime two months ago, a housewife in Ugbolu community was sacked for alleged body odour, a situation that was attributed to mysterious act.
But it was gathered that trouble started for the latest victim, a mother of two children when she started noticing rashes all over her body; a situation she thought was mere heat rashes and did not bother to follow it up.
Expectedly, while the mysterious rashes persisted, the housewife was said to have consulted a local patent medicine seller who prescribed some drugs that she immediately bought but after two weeks of use, there was no remedy.
Speaking to our correspondent, the husband who did not want his name in the print, dispelled as untrue, insinuations that he hired some thugs to remove her property from the house; saying that those who removed her property were not thugs rather they were his relations living in the same house and couldn’t help but to ask her to go and treat herself.
