Chidi Opara, a 300-level student of Imo State University (IMSU), was shot dead a suspected cult member by 10pm on Wednesday, after he had a faceoff with him at Bishop Court Area (IMSU backgate) of the school.
The cultist allegedly tried snatching the 24-year-old Economics student’s phone, but when he resisted this, he got shot instead. The body of the deceased has been deposited in the mortuary, as Police are already conducting an investigation into the murder case.
