According to the BBC, the second explosion that ripped through the crowded Kawo area in Kaduna today targeted the motorcade of General Buhari, former military ruler of Nigeria and a senior member of the All Progressive Congress opposition party.
Gunmen rammed a vehicle into his convoy, firing shots at it, BBC reporter says, adding that two of Gen Buhari’s bodyguards were slightly wounded in the attack.
The first explosion targeted moderate Islamic cleric Dahiru Bauchi who just completed a preaching session before the blast which killed over 25 people.
