Following the ASUU strike, FUTA has announced that classes will resume.

The authority of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has approved a revised calendar for the continuation of the 2020/2021 academic session.

The announcement was made on Thursday by FUTA Registrar Richard Arifalo in a statement.

Lectures for the First Semester would resume on Monday; students are expected to arrive on campus on Sunday.

Arifalo stated that the approval was given at a special Senate meeting on Wednesday.

The resumption came after the Academic Staff Union of Universities suspended its strike (ASUU).

The statement wished all students a safe journey back to campus.
