Nigeria’s number 1 DJ, DJ Jimmy JATT will release his second album, titled ‘The Industry’ on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
In 2007, he released ‘The Definition’, featuring 50 artistes – including 2face Idibia, Ruggedman, M.I, Naeto C, Sound Sultan and Modenine.
When asked why it took so long to release another album, he said ‘Basically, am a DJ and you don’t expect such album (like ‘The Definition’) every year’.
He said the forthcoming album features over 50 artistes from all the record labels in the country. Said to be more of a reflection of the industry, it will have a minimum of 20 tracks. Confirmed cameos include Ice Prince, KCEE, Harrysong, 2face Idibia, Sound Sultan and Burna Boy.
The album is being released to commemorate his 25th year of work, along with a book launching.
