Diezani Alison-Madueke has been nominated by President Jonathan to be the next Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
If her nomination sails through, she will be the first ever female Secretary-General of OPEC
However, she first needs to win an election which has been slated for December, when the tenure of the incumbent Secertary-General, Abdullah al-Badri of Iraq will expire.
