Recuperating governor of Taraba State, Danbaba, Suntai on Wednesday arrived Jalingo to reclaim his mandate, multiple sources claim.
Suntai, who had been receiving treatment in a London Hospital was flown into the state from Abuja on Wednesday, while his deputy and Acting governor, Garba Umar was away in Abuja
Naijalog gathered that Suntai came in a chartered flight from Abuja and was driven in a convoy to Government House, Jalingo at about 6.30p.m. amidst tight security, catching many unawares as there appeared to be no prior information about the governor’s return to the state.
Spokesman to Taraba Acting Governor, Aaron Artimas, however said his boss was aware Suntai has arrived in Jalingo.
According to him, the state government had been responsible for the medical expenses of the governor all along.
