Cristiano Ronaldo has officially extended his stay with Saudi Arabian football club Al Nassr, committing to the Riyadh-based team until 2027.
The club confirmed the news in a statement released on Thursday, featuring a photo of Ronaldo alongside Al Nassr Chairman, Mr. Abdullah Almajid, proudly holding a jersey with “2027” emblazoned on it.
Ronaldo, who currently serves as team captain, will now continue leading the squad for at least two more years.
Sharing his enthusiasm on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the football icon wrote:
“A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together.”
Al Nassr praised Ronaldo for his leadership and lasting impact, noting that the contract renewal signifies the deepening of a powerful alliance between one of the sport’s biggest legends and a club rapidly gaining prominence in Asian football.
The extension further boosts the Saudi Pro League’s global visibility, keeping Ronaldo at the forefront of the country’s ambitious efforts to transform its football landscape.
