Former Niger-Delta warlord, Asari Dokubo is alleging that ex-Head of State, General Muhamdu Buhari staged the attempted suicide bomb plot on his life.
The former President of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, of the Niger Delta region, opined thus when he spoke to journalists in Abuja on Sunday.
Dokubo said the bombing in which lives were lost was a conspiracy by Buhari and his group so has to paint President Goodluck Jonathan bad.
He based is judgement on a claim that he knew the erstwhile Nigerian leader so well and that he Buhari was not known to be driven in a bullet-proof car prior to the incident, alleging that the use of an armoured jeep in his motorcade started recently which confirmed his stand.
On Saturday, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) had also named the All Progressives congress as the orchestrators of the attack, saying that they wanted to use the bombing to launder their already battered image.
