Two students of Abia State University were butchered and beheaded in front of Pego 1 lodge in the school on Saturday by unknown people.

There’s a speculation that this gruesome murder was done in retaliation to the murder of a final year MBL student who was suspected to be a cultist barely two weeks ago.

No group has openly claimed responsibility for the gruesome act.

The beheaded students have been identified as Samuel, a 300L Political Science student and Chukwuebuka Benedict Nwaigbo, Estate Management, 300L.

A third person who was present during the attack was critically injured and currently receiving treatment at a hospital. He is however not a member of any cult group.
