BABCOCK issues schedule of fees for 2013/2014 session, denies increasing tuition

The Management of Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun state has denied the recent claims by some students of the University(On Social Media) that the school tuition fees of different departments for the next academic session has been increased outrageously.

In a statement released and signed by the Director, External and Community Affairs, Joshua Suleiman, the school Management has officially denied the students claims.

The statement reads in part “Our attention has been drawn to some misinformation and misinterpretation of the University’s fees as posted on some blogs. “For the avoidance of doubt, we present here the official fees of the 2013/2014 session as approved by the University Administration.”

“The average fee at BU is N630,500 and this covers Accommodation, Feeding, Tuition, Medical Insurance and Miscellaneous.

Suleiman stated that, “Law students are to pay N763,000 as against the reported N2million, Accounting is N763,000 as against the reported N1.5 million, Medicine is N2 million consolidated as against the reported N3 million and Nursing is N763,000 as against the reported N1 million”

The Director noted that there were no hidden charges against what the School Management approved.
