One suspected armed robber was shot dead by the police on Thursday evening, March 9th, at Opolo community, Yenagoa in Bayelsa state.
It was gathered that the robbers who were two in number, stormed a popular supermarket, when a little boy saw them and raised alarm. The robbers took to their heels on sighting men of the Special anti-robbery squad. After a long chase and exchange of fire, one was shot dead while the other was wounded.
The suspect was arrested and taken away by the police.
