Grammy-winning Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo is set to make history as the first African artist to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The iconic musician was recently named among the 2026 honorees by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
She will be celebrated alongside other global stars such as Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Shaquille O’Neal, Lea Salonga, Marion Cotillard, Deepika Padukone, Emily Blunt, and Rachel McAdams, among others.
While the official ceremony dates have not been confirmed, recipients have two years to plan and attend their star unveiling events.
