A landslide that reportedly occurred in the Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, claimed the lives of no less than thirty (30) people.

Additionally, on September 7 at Abuja’s Bwari Area Council, it was reported that 19 people had been kidnapped.

In a meeting with six local council chairmen and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the council area chairman revealed this, according to Daily Trust.

In response to the horrifying developments, Wike said that he will meet with the police commissioner in Abuja as well as the director of the Department of State Services (DSS) to receive proper briefings on the kidnapping and help with rescue efforts, according to The Guardian article.
