The three female primary school teachers abducted by gunmen at Orhogbua Primary School in Ekhehuan village, Edo State, were set free on Tuesday.
After spending two weeks in captivity, the teachers were released at about 3.00 a.m. yesterday at the Ekhehuan axis of the state.
The abductors were said to have called members of their family, who went to pick them up.
The teachers, identified as Patience Osadolor, Momodu Aisha and Patience Oroghene, were kidnapped at gunpoint from the afore-mentioned school on July 30, 2013.
Their abductors had initially demanded N60 million ransom for their release, but later slashed the amount to N7.5 million.
It could not be confirmed if a ransom was paid to secure their release.
