Rapper Odumodublvck has cautioned Nigerian artists against harboring negative feelings toward Grammy-winning singer Wizkid, describing it as self-sabotage.
In a recent interview with content creator Elsie in Toronto, Canada, the ‘Wotowoto Seasoning’ hitmaker shared that he wouldn’t take offense if he collaborated with Wizkid on an album and Wizkid didn’t promote it on social media.
Odumodublvck explained that some artists behave as though they’re doing others a favor when they collaborate, but he personally doesn’t expect featured artists to promote their joint work.
“I’ve never asked a featured artist to promote a song after we’ve worked together. The most important thing is that they gave me a verse,” he said.
He emphasized that if Wizkid contributed to his album but didn’t post about it, he wouldn’t be upset. “Hating on Wizkid, Machala, is a losing game,” he concluded.
