Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stirred up controversy with a pointed remark directed at an unnamed individual who married a man much older than her, likening him to her grandfather.
The actress made the statement in a now-deleted Instagram story post.
Angela claimed that if Nigeria’s economy were better, the individual would not have married a man older than her grandfather.
She also criticized the person for advising Nigerians while failing to heed her own advice.
Her words:
“If Nigeria was doing well, you wouldn’t marry a man older than your grandfather. You want to advise Nigerians but can’t advise yourself. Nonsense.”
Many netizens in the comments speculated that Angela’s remarks were aimed at her colleague, Regina Daniels, who is the sixth wife of billionaire Ned Nwoko.
Regina Daniels had recently urged Nigerians to choose peaceful protests during the End Bad Governance demonstration.
