A reliable source close to former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo, says he has dumped football for politics.
The source said “the Rivers State born player, who recently enrolled for a UEFA coaching course ,a fortnight ago turned down two lucrative contracts from Asia and the MLS in America.”
“I can tell you that Yobo is no longer interested in playing football or anything related to the game now.
“Yobo is more interested in paving the way for his political ambitions and from the way he is going, it is not a mirage.
“A couple of weeks ago, he turned down contracts from Asia and America to concentrate on his support for President Jonathan.
“Yobo is not stopping at just support alone, he is determined to take it beyond 2015.
Joseph Yobo had been sighted speaking at all the PDP rallies, calling on Nigerian youths to come out en masse and vote for President Jonathan come February 14, 2015.
