Host cities of FIFA World Cup Brazil
2014
After the allocation of the tournament
organization to Brazil , seventeen cities
were interested in being one of the
host cities of the World Cup soccer 2014.
In contrary to regular FIFA policy of
not including more than 10 cities,
Brazil was permitted to assign 12 host cities.
FIFA made the exception because of
Brazil’s sheer size, having many
significant cities and having soccer fans
living all over the country.
