Retired police officers staged a protest on April 13 at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, demanding the payment of their pensions.
The pensioners marched in solidarity, chanting songs as they expressed frustration over unpaid gratuities and what they described as poor pension conditions.
During the protest, they voiced dissatisfaction with both the handling of their pensions and the amounts being paid.
‘’We nor go gree o, we nor go gree! Wuru Wuru pension, we nor go gree!”
Videos circulating online also captured moments of tension, with some of the retired officers clashing with personnel currently stationed at the headquarters.
