According to him, the current challenges encountered during cargo clearance especially with the new Pre- Arrival Assessment Reports(PAAR) is created by the network provider which his MTN and not Webb Fontaine.

“Of recent the issue has been more with the Service provider which is MTN since they provide the network services. It is not completely Webb Fontaine”, he said.

In his words, “Two weeks from now Webb Fontaine will sign another contract with another network provider for services within Yaba and Abuja axis as well as the Port Harcourt and Abuja axis respectively”, he said.

However he noted that the present challenges encountered will be addressed with the existence of an alternate network provider.

“So, there are challenges but we will overcome them by the time we have an alternative network provider”, He added.

Meanwhile, reacting to the current server failures across customs system in the Ports. Mukthar advised for the participation and cooperation of all concerned stakeholders and individuals.

“We have to join forces and see how we can make things work because the failure of Customs is not only apportioned to them but every other concerned individual, even Nigeria as a whole”.

“Although, I agree with you that there are challenges which can only be solved when we all come together we will come out of it not just criticising rather, we find solutions.”, He advised
