Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido yesterday said he and others are going to ensure that Alhaji Bamanga Tukur is removed as the National Chairman of the PDP, saying Tukur is today the greatest misdeed of the Nigerian project.
The governor who spoke to newsmen in Kano, through the PDP, Jigawa State secretary, Alhaji Ali Gantsa, said he refused to follow the other five PDP governors who decamped to the APC because joining the APC is not the fundamental issue, but the survival of the nation, which is what he is after.
He said “We brought Bamanga Tukur thinking he is an old man, an experienced person and his knowledge in the business world would be brought to bear, but unfortunately the reverse is the case; the man is today the greatest misdeed of the Nigerian project and we are going to ensure that he is removed as the chairman of the party”.
