Renowned Nigerian rapper and hip-hop veteran Illbliss, popularly known as ‘Oga Boss,’ has touched the hearts of many after sharing the deeply emotional and faith-filled journey he and his wife embarked on to build their family.

The Unexpected Miracle After an Eight-Year Wait

In a recent candid interview, the veteran musician opened up about the agonizing eight-year period he and his wife spent waiting to conceive their first child. The breakthrough finally came during what they initially believed was a routine hospital visit for a bout of malaria.

Instead of a malaria diagnosis, the couple received life-altering news. Illbliss recalled the emotional moment they discovered they were finally going to be parents. “The doctor said everything was fine, but my wife was pregnant,” the rapper shared. “My wife broke down and I broke down as well. The doctor thought we didn’t want the baby, but he had no clue how long we had waited for that child.”

Defying Medical Experts to Save Their Second Daughter

While welcoming their first daughter was an answer to years of prayers, their journey to expanding their family faced an even tougher test during the birth of their second daughter. Born prematurely at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the child’s survival was deemed nearly impossible by medical professionals.

According to Illbliss, doctors went as far as advising them to terminate the pregnancy because they believed the baby would not survive the complications. However, guided by their deep-rooted faith, the couple chose a different path.

“Doctors told us to flush and get rid of her because she wouldn’t make it, but we refused,” Illbliss stated. “We’re staunch Catholics. We believed God would come through, and God did come through.”

A Testimony of Unwavering Faith

Against all medical odds, their second daughter survived and is now a healthy, thriving young girl. Illbliss describes her as another undeniable miracle in his life, noting that seeing his daughters grow up healthy is the ultimate blessing.

The rapper’s inspiring testimony has resonated deeply across social media, with fans and well-wishers celebrating the couple’s resilience, faith, and ultimate triumph over years of uncertainty and heartbreak.
