Walt Disney says it will remove Bill Cosby‘s bronze bust would be removed from the resort’s Hollywood Studios theme park by the end of today (July 8), after the celebrated comedian admitted that he drugged an undisclosed number of women in order to have sex with them.
Orlando Sentinel the companies spokesperson confirmed the decision.
Change.org petition who created a petition in 2014 had urged Disney World to remove the bust, which stands in the park’s Hall of Fame Plaza alongside other Television Academy Hall of Fame inductees such as Lucille Ball and Walt Disney.
Meanwhile, singer Jill Scott, actor/producer expressed regret and disappointment over the news.
Scott tweeted: ‘I stood by a man I respected and loved. I was wrong. It HURTS!!! When you get it ALL right, holla.’
However, actress is still standing by Cosby.
