Popular online activist, VeryDarkMan, has taken aim at General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu, faulting his approach to tackling Nigeria’s worsening insecurity and the ongoing Boko Haram crisis.
The backlash follows Bulama’s recent appeal urging Boko Haram members to repent, drop their weapons, and reintegrate peacefully into society a stance that stirred strong reactions nationwide.
In a fiery response, VeryDarkMan accused the general of being overly lenient in the face of terrorism and failing to use his authority effectively. He stated:
“Dear General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu, you are a general, not a pastor. I can see why these terrorists keep increasing because men like you, who have the power and tools to go after them, are sympathizing with them. You should resign because you are a weak general, unable to use your office. This is a shame.”
The clip quickly circulated across social media, drawing heated discussions. Many Nigerians echoed the activist’s sentiments, pointing to what they describe as ineffective leadership in addressing national security issues.
VeryDarkMan’s criticism adds to the growing frustration among citizens, as attacks and insecurity continue to escalate across various regions. The situation has amplified calls for stronger strategies, accountability, and more decisive military action.
