Controversial social commentator VeryDarkMan has shared details about his recent arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), alleging that GTBank played a role in detaining him without justification.

Following his release on bail, which came after national protests and appeals from public figures, VeryDarkMan took to social media to thank supporters for their efforts. In a video, he recounted visiting GTBank due to an investigation into his mother’s account, where it was discovered she had unknowingly taken a N200,000 loan.

However, as he was leaving the bank, he was reportedly stopped by a security officer without explanation. VeryDarkMan claimed this act escalated into a more serious situation, accusing GTBank of unlawfully detaining him. He announced plans to take legal action against the bank, demanding answers for being held against his will.
