The Management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has reportedly suspended two of its lecturers over alleged of insubordination.
The lecturers who reportedly received their suspension letters are Kayode Afolayan and Dr Solomon Oyelekan.
One of the affected lecturers who spoke with Channels stated that the suspension may be as a result of the blowing of the whistle of alleged corruption in UNILORIN, which was not stated in the suspension letter.
Reacting to the suspension, the Factional Vice Chairman of ASUU, Dr Bode Olumorin called on the federal government to come to their aid.
It will be recalled that the Federal Government introduced the whistleblowing programme so as to get useful information on any corrupt practices.
