The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a warning to motorists traveling between Abuja and Lagos.
On Tuesday, Acting Corps Marshal Dauda Biu informed the public through Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO) Bisi Kazeem.
The agency advised vehicle owners and commuters from Abuja to take the Akure-Ondo-Ife-Ibadan or Lagos-Ibadan-Ife-Ondo-Ore-Benin route via Ondo.
Those traveling from Lagos and other parts of the south-west, including Ondo, to the north were instructed to take the same route.
The FRSC stated that the advisory was issued because the Igbara-Oke-Ilara-Mokin route is currently completely blocked.
Biu assured that adequate operatives and logistics have been deployed to ensure the removal of obstructions on that route as soon as possible for ease of movement.
Factors such as bad roads and the worst floods in a decade have rendered some routes impassable in Nigeria.
