According to Gist Reel, the Osogbo-born performer will be put to rest in his birthplace today, May 15th, leaving fans and colleagues devastated.

Tunde Ola Yusuf, a fellow actor and filmmaker, confirmed the awful news on his Instagram page, expressing his sorrow and wishing for Afolabi’s soul to find everlasting rest.

Oloketuyi revealed that the talented actor had slipped in the bathroom, causing him to hit his head on a hard surface.
Tragically, the injuries sustained proved fatal, leading to Afolabi’s untimely demise.
Oloketuyi expressed his intention to provide additional information at a later time, stating;
“Breaking. Murphy Afolabi is dead. He died from injuries sustained from falling in the bathroom. Details later.”
