Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi and Wumi Toriola have officially buried the hatchet, bringing a definitive end to their bitter seven-year public rift.
The Unexpected Reunion
The reconciliation occurred on Sunday, December 21, 2025, when the two actresses bumped into each other at a cinema in Ikeja, Lagos. Both were present to promote their respective projects: Toyin was pushing her new film, “Oversabi Aunty”, while Wumi was on ground for “Behind the Scenes”, a movie produced by Funke Akindele in which she stars.
“I Miss You”
In a heartwarming video circulating on social media, the former best friends admitted to missing each other. Wumi initiated the emotional moment, telling Toyin:
“I miss you”
She went a step further, playfully challenging Toyin to swear if she didn’t feel the same way. Toyin reciprocated the affection, responding:
“I miss you too”
A History of Conflict
This reunion marks the end of a long saga of hostility. The duo, once close friends, fell out in 2017 after Wumi accused Toyin of slapping her in a hotel room during the filming of Alakada Reloaded. The feud escalated in 2018 when Wumi mocked Toyin, accusing her of faking her engagement.
The tension reached a boiling point in 2023 following rumors that Wumi was having a secret affair with Toyin’s husband.
At the time, Wumi vehemently denied the allegations, stating:
“My attention was called to a diabolical rumours that I slept with a colleague’s husband. Not only is false, it is diabolical, evil and intended to soil my name.”
