Popular Nigerian media personality and fashion influencer, Toke Makinwa, has revealed that she’s already receiving marriage proposals just hours after opening up about her willingness to remarry—even if it means becoming a second, third, or fourth wife.
During a recent podcast appearance, Toke candidly admitted she’s now open to the idea of joining a polygamous union.
“Honestly, at this stage in my life, if the chance to be a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife comes, I’d take it,” she shared.
She went on to explain that being in control all the time can be exhausting:
“I’m always the boss—it gets tiring. Sometimes, you just want someone else to take charge, even with little things like deciding what’s for dinner.”
Shortly after the episode went viral, Toke posted a screenshot of her inbox on social media, showing that several suitors had already reached out. One email boldly asked:
“GOAL: Can we get married?”—from a senior data analyst based in Ibadan.
