Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade have been trending online following a recent interaction that caught fans’ attention.
The buzz started after Tiwa Savage took to her social media page to publicly acknowledge her colleague, amid long-standing rumors of tension between the two Afrobeats stars.
Contrary to earlier speculations suggesting a feud, Tiwa appeared to put those claims to rest. She shared a video of herself showcasing Yemi Alade’s new makeup line, expressing admiration and support for the project.
“So proud of @yemialade wearing one of @yembeauty_official_ liquid lipsticks. May God bless this amazing venture. It’s about to be a sold-out season, mama”.
The gesture quickly stirred reactions online, as many saw it as a sign of unity between the two artists.
Both singers have enjoyed massive success over the years, topping charts, performing on global stages, and playing key roles in taking Afrobeats to international audiences. However, fans have long wondered why a collaboration between them has never happened.
In a previous conversation with Chude Jideonwo, Yemi Alade addressed the issue, clarifying that there is no personal conflict.
“I’ve had collaborations with Waje, Seyi Shay, and other African female singers within and outside Nigeria. But Tiwa Savage is a fan favorite, and a collaboration with her can make fans start comparing and creating problems where there is none. I’d rather stay clear — I don’t want problems in my life.”
Her explanation suggests that the absence of a joint project is more about avoiding unnecessary rivalry than any real disagreement between the two stars.
