Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that critics who fail to recognise the achievements of his administration may need “eyeglasses” to better see the progress being made.
Speaking during an event at the State House on Thursday, April 16, the president addressed concerns about his government while reaffirming his commitment to ongoing reforms.
‘’The truth is I took over from myself. The late Buhari is me, he was a partner. If I took over from him, is that not from myself? If something is wrong, live with it, correct it and then move on. The live voyage is not going to be easy and so many of you travelling with me, I can only stand by you and say you will not regret it. That is why I asked you to ‘Renew their hope’’ If they don’t want to see the hope in the roads we build, the children we raise, in the economy we are growing, we will give them eyeglasses”
He acknowledged the challenges facing the country, noting that progress may not come easily, but assured Nigerians that his administration remains focused on delivering results.
